International Job Roles

I have absolutely no interest in teaching internationally. I do not forsee ever wanting to travel out of my state for employment, ever.

An opportunity teaching in the Ukraine for two years as an early childhood educator was found at
http://www.teachaway.com/teaching-jobs-abroad/pre-k-and-kindergarten-teacher-private-international-school What is interesting is the pay is even less than what I make now! Qualifications are Certifications Required: Teaching Credential/License
Level of Education Required: Bachelor
Preferred Certificates: TESL/TEFL Certificate
Teaching Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience
Specific Major: Education or Related Field

A nursery school teacher in Beijing is also  available, but with a higher salary and benefits http://www.teachaway.com/teaching-jobs-abroad/kindergarten-early-years-teachers-maple-bear-china
Requirements are Certifications Required: Teaching Credential/License
Level of Education Required: Bachelor
Specific Major: ECE or Education

The third job opportunity which is in line with my career goals is a Kindergarten teacher in italy http://jobs.theguardian.com/job/4805793/kindergarten-teacher-x-1-italy-2-years-fix-term-contract/?LinkSource=PremiumListing

Since I have an bachelors degree and am almost done with my masters, I fufill most of the requirements.

  1. Hi Lauren,
have you ever traveled, for vacations? I don't know that I will seek a job outside the country as I have most of my children in this country and grandchild, but life evolves and new opportunities arise at the right time. You found some interesting jobs though.

  2. I have traveled, to Italy, Switzerland, and to the Bahamas (which isnt REALLY out of the country, per se). I have never been interested in leaving my state, I enjoy new england quite a bit and prefer to be close to family. For my bachelors degree I wasn't even a half hour away at school. I have traveled in the US quite a bit too and prefer it here by far, although it is so much more affordable in the south!
