Lauren,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you included the teaching strategies website. I use that in my headstart classroom. They have so many great ideas for teachers for teachers to use. The children seem to love those activities as well.
Lauren,
ReplyDeleteAwesome for the website you added, I had not idea that we had sites out there to help in strategies for teaching. I will be looking more into that so I can improve on working with infants and toddlers!
Lauren,
ReplyDeleteI use teaching strategies as well because we use The Creative Curriculum. Their headquarters are here in Maryland, so we attend many of their seminars and workshops. The 5th edition is the current edition and we are trying to find ways to make it less like academic school and more in alignment with our play-based philosophy. We want the teachers to think and create on their own rather than use the scripted format that doesn't require them to think a bit more outside the box.
Very interestng resources!! We use teaching strategies as well. It is used with The Creative Curriculum, I really enjoy it. There are many websites that educators can use for resources. The additional resources that you listed are full of early learning knowledge.
ReplyDeleteLauren,
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have set up your tabs. I have visited the Education Center in the past and found it to be an important resource as an organization truly focused on making a difference in the lives of children and their families. Are you an actual member?
I am not currently, but I was in the past. I have many of the mailbox yearbooks, which have tons of different ideas by theme and holiday, I try to get older ones on clearance!
DeleteI like the teaching strategies as well especially the GetFit part of the program. The way you did these tabs is great and easy access. Thank you for your resources. I also like theeducationcenter website for resources. I will use it for my children as well.
